Concert with Mongolian Throat Singing Trio in Bremen, Germany
Experience the powerful sounds of Mongolia through throat singing, traditional instruments, and ancient melodies, performed by three exceptional Mongolian musicians.


On August 27, Altai presents a special concert with Baatarsuren Chadraabal, Yesun, and Khulan at Sendesaal Bremen. Together, these three musicians represent the rich musical traditions of Mongolia. Their performance combines the powerful art of khöömii (Mongolian throat singing) with traditional instruments including the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), tovshuur (Mongolian lute), and the beautiful Mongolian Harp.
Through ancient melodies, epic songs, and instrumental music inspired by the vast landscapes of the Mongolian steppe, audiences are invited on a captivating musical journey unlike any other.


This concert takes place at Sendesaal Bremen, a historic concert hall and former Radio Bremen recording studio known for its outstanding acoustics. Since 1952, the venue has hosted countless recordings and performances and remains one of Germany's most respected spaces for acoustic music.

This concert forms part of Baatarsuren's European Tour 2026, organized by Altai to introduce the living musical traditions of Mongolia through concerts, workshops, and cultural exchange across Europe.

Born in Chandman Sum, Khovd Province, Mongolia, Baatarsuren studied Mongolian throat singing and traditional music at the Music and Dance College in Ulaanbaatar. Over the years, he has performed with various ensembles and has grown into a respected musician, teacher, and talented instrument maker. He received several awards, including first prize in the solo category at the International Throat Singing Festival in Tuva in 2019 and second prize in 2017.

Yesun and Khulan are experienced Mongolian musicians dedicated to sharing their country's rich musical heritage. Yesun studied Mongolian folklore, music, and singing in Ulaanbaatar and has been performing as a soloist and ensemble musician in Bremen since 2013. Khulan, raised in a musical family, began playing the yatga (Mongolian harp) and morin khuur at a young age and has performed with several renowned ensembles. Together, they bring the expressive sounds of Mongolia to audiences across Europe.
