3. Cancellation Policy for Multi-Day Workshops & Retreats
Our retreats and multi-day workshops require long-term preparation, reservations, and international planning. Therefore, the following conditions apply.
Cancellation by Participant
- Up to 8 weeks before the start date: full refund.
- Within 8 weeks before the start date: refunds are only possible if the available place can be filled by another participant.
Cancellation or Rescheduling by Altai
In case of insufficient participants, Altai reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a retreat or workshop. Participants will then receive a full refund of the participation fee or be offered a suitable alternative.
Force Majeure
In cases of force majeure, Altai reserves the right to modify, reschedule, partially adjust, or cancel programs.
Force majeure includes, but is not limited to:
- Extreme weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Pandemics
- Strikes
- International travel problems
- Cancelled flights
- Airspace closures
- Safety threats
- Government measures
- Illness or unexpected absence of teachers, artists, or organizers
If an activity cannot fully continue due to force majeure, we will always try to offer a fair solution appropriate to the circumstances and costs already incurred. This may include:
- Rescheduling the program
- Offering a voucher
- Partial refund
Altai is not liable for additional costs such as transportation, hotel stays, insurance, or other personal expenses incurred by participants. We therefore strongly advise arranging appropriate travel and cancellation insurance.
4. Cancellation Policy for Concerts & Live Events
Concerts and live events organized by Altai involve advance commitments such as artist fees, venue hire, travel, accommodation, technical production, and other event-related costs. For this reason, the following conditions apply.
Cancellation by Ticket Holder
Tickets for concerts and live events are generally non-refundable once purchased, unless otherwise stated for a specific event.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer or resell your ticket to another person. You are welcome to use ticket resale platforms such as TicketSwap for this purpose. Please note that any resale or transfer is arranged between the ticket holder and the new ticket holder, and Altai is not responsible for any costs or issues arising from such a transaction.
In exceptional personal circumstances, we may, at our discretion, offer a partial refund, voucher, or ticket transfer. This is considered on a case-by-case basis and cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellation or Rescheduling by Altai
If Altai cancels a concert or live event for reasons within our control, ticket holders will normally be offered either:
- a full refund of the ticket price; or
- the option to use the ticket for a rescheduled date.
If an event is rescheduled, tickets will normally remain valid for the new date. If you are unable to attend the new date, we will communicate the available refund options to ticket holders.
Force Majeure
Concerts and live events may sometimes be affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Extreme weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Pandemics or public health measures
- Strikes or industrial action
- International travel restrictions
- Cancelled or significantly disrupted flights or other transportation
- Airspace closures or major travel disruptions
- Government measures or restrictions
- Safety or security threats
- Venue closures or unforeseen venue-related problems
- Illness or unexpected absence of artists, musicians, essential crew, or organizers
- Other circumstances that make it impossible or unreasonable for the event to take place as planned
In such circumstances, Altai will always make reasonable efforts to find the best possible solution, such as rescheduling the event, replacing an artist where appropriate, offering a voucher, or providing a partial or full refund where feasible.
Because significant costs may already have been incurred by the time such circumstances arise, any refund in a force majeure situation may take into account non-recoverable costs already incurred by Altai.
Where an event cannot take place due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, Altai cannot be held responsible for additional costs incurred by ticket holders, such as travel, accommodation, insurance, or other personal expenses. We therefore recommend arranging appropriate travel and cancellation insurance when attending events, particularly when travelling internationally.
International Concerts & Tours
For concerts involving international artists or international travel, additional logistical risks may apply. These can include visa issues, border restrictions, flight cancellations, airspace disruptions, transportation problems, or other circumstances affecting the artist's ability to reach the venue.
If such circumstances prevent an artist from reaching the venue or performing as planned, we will make every reasonable effort to find an appropriate solution. Depending on the circumstances, this may include rescheduling the concert, arranging a replacement or alternative program where appropriate, offering a voucher, or providing a partial or full refund.
The specific solution will depend on the circumstances of each event, including the costs already incurred and the possibilities for rescheduling or recovering those costs.
