Sound Journey
Mongolian Sound Journey & Meditation Session
Experience a unique fusion of traditional Mongolian instruments, beatbox, meditation, and immersive soundscapes.

Leave the outside world behind and embark on a unique musical journey inspired by the vast landscapes and ancient traditions of Mongolia.
During this intimate session, Beatbox Ray creates a continuously evolving soundscape using traditional Mongolian jaw harps, beatbox, overtone singing tdechniques, and atmospheric sound textures. Rather than watching a concert, you'll simply lie back, close your eyes, and allow yourself to become immersed in a world of vibration, rhythm, and resonance.
Each Sound Journey is unique, inviting you to slow down, listen deeply, and experience sound in an entirely new way.
A guided listening experience designed for relaxation, mindfulness, and deep musical exploration.
Using a collection of traditional Mongolian instruments together with his distinctive beatbox techniques, Beatbox Ray gradually builds rich layers of sound that continuously evolve throughout the session. The combination of rhythmic pulses, harmonic overtones, and subtle vibrations creates an immersive atmosphere that encourages stillness, focus, and imagination.
After the Sound Journey, you'll be invited to stay for an informal Meet & Greet with Beatbox Ray. Enjoy a cup of Mongolian tea, ask questions about his music, instruments, and life in Mongolia, and discover the stories behind his unique artistic journey. It's a rare opportunity to meet the artist in an intimate setting and connect on a personal level.
No previous experience with meditation or Mongolian music is needed. Simply find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and let the sounds guide your own personal journey.

Beatbox Ray (Narandelger Byambaa) is one of Mongolia's pioneering beatbox artists and the founder of both the Mongolian National Beatbox Association and the Mongolian Ethnic Jaw Harp Players Association. His unique performances combine beatbox with traditional Mongolian jaw harps and other indigenous instruments, creating a distinctive musical style that bridges ancient traditions and contemporary music. As both a performer and teacher, he has represented Mongolia at festivals and cultural events throughout Asia and Europe.

Rowan became fascinated by the music of Mongolia around 2006 at the age of seventeen. Soon after, he traveled to Mongolia to explore the country and its culture more deeply. Since then, Mongolian music and traditions have become an inseparable part of his daily life. In 2014, he married Saran, and together they have worked ever since on their shared dream: introducing Mongolian culture and music to Europe through Altai.

Saran grew up in the Mongolian countryside, surrounded by the traditions, rituals, and rich culture of the land. After moving to the Netherlands in 2002, she continued to stay deeply connected to her Mongolian roots. In 2014, she married Rowan, and together they have worked toward their shared dream of introducing Mongolian culture and hospitality in Europe through Altai.
